Nirbhay Nirgun – A Tribute to Pt. Kumar Gandharva

Nirbhay Nirgun is an audio-visual and live lecture-demonstration program curated and presented by Dr. Sadhana Shiledar, highlighting the life, work, and contribution of Pt. Kumar Gandharva. Since 2013, this program has been presented in Hindi and Marathi across various cultural and academic platforms in India.

• Gandharva Mahavidyalay Mandal, Navi Mumbai

• Bharat Gayan Samaj, Pune

In 2024, Dr. Sadhana was specially invited to perform this program at the Kalajayee Mahotsav, organized as part of the centenary birth celebrations of Pt. Kumar Gandharva.

Alongside performances, Dr. Sadhana has made significant scholarly contributions through her writings on Pt. Kumar Gandharva. These include articles and research papers published in prestigious journals, such as the special issues of Swaramudra (Vol. 1 & 2) by the Raza Foundation in 2023. 

She has researched the folk traditions of the Malwa region, where she has studied and documented its musical richness.

In her creative exploration, she has innovated two new Dhun-Ugam Ragas — Anup and Ritu — inspired by the folk melodies of Malwa.​
